It has been 35 years since the birth of the International Self-Development Movement. The results of our commitment are in the eyes and hearts of those who have accompanied us on this challenging but rewarding journey: thousands of children have been removed from the streets and from labor exploitation through our projects, to be placed in the world of education; many others have found hospitality in our Family Homes, created to welcome orphans, HIV-positive individuals, and vulnerable youth; many at-risk young people and women have been guided by hand toward the opportunity for a work project and a life that is free and fulfilling. We have brought care, health education, and planning to the lives of many communities.
Below we present the reconstruction of our history: from milestone to milestone, with the sole objective of bringing light, freedom, and autonomy where they have been denied.
